Roeder Consulting Inc. – Tres Roeder, founder & president
Q: Give us an example of a business challenge your organization faced, as well as how you overcame it.
When Roeder Consulting initially entered the training business we marketed our courses on our own. We struggled to get the word out and to enroll students. We decided to find marketing partners. After we began working with partners, our training business began to really grow. We learned it takes a team to grow any successful business.
Q: In what ways are you an innovative leader, and how does your organization employ innovation to be on the leading edge?
Roeder Consulting’s ground-breaking training programs focus on A Sixth Sense for Project Management.® These programs combine fields as diverse as neuroscience, psychology, political science and project management into a comprehensive and tested approach to leading change. We constantly stay abreast of developments in the science of change and bring these developments to our clients and customers.
Q: What is the greatest lesson you’ve learned and how have you applied it?
It really is all about the people. Recruit the right people and give them room to succeed.
Q: How does your organization make a significant impact on the community and regional economy?
Roeder Consulting worked with a local philanthropist to prepare and publicly share a 200-plus-page report on the Shaker Heights School System. We prepared this report to create a solid fact-based analysis that can be used by members of the community, decision-makers, and others interested in doing an even better job educating our children.
Each person on the Roeder Consulting team, in their own way, gives back to their community. Our team includes volunteer leaders of professional project management chapters, board members of local churches, and members of local business groups.
Roeder Consulting’s growth has meant more jobs for people in the regional economy. The greater Cleveland area has a deep bench of skilled professionals.
